We had an awesome Creative Arts Christmas Party at Frank and Cara's place last night.
Close to 100 folks for food, fun, and our first annual Christmas Ornament exchange. We played a few games and had a little competition with balloons.
The highlight of the night came when the Ornament Exchange began. I believe this will be a yearly part of our celebration because of the duck factor.
So the ornament exchange begins and we start to see a few rubber mallard ducks revealed as ornaments. After the 3rd or 4th, I suspected something may be going on here. After the 10th rubber duck, I'm wondering who sent the memo. Evidently, someone went wild at the Bass Pro Shop because there were over 15 Rubber Ducks posing as ornaments. Well, instead of being a prank, the ducks became the prize. As every duck was opened, a squeaky chorus of ducks would cheer on the new member of the family. Ducks were snatched and in high demand.
At the end of the evening, most of the duck family posed for a picture. I wonder how many of these ducks will show up next year?
