My brother Todd and I caught up on life at one of my favorite restaurants, Pappadeaux's in Arlington. I had the mixed grille lunch which included blackened redfish and shrimp creole...awesome! In contrast, after the meal I loaded up on some Nutrisystem food. Yes, this was the Last Supper before the holidays.
It took a while to get to this restaurant with all the loops around this area. If you've been here you know what I'm talking about. Interstate 30 was originally a toll road and these additional loop de loops were created to process a large amount of cars through toll gates. I guess they will also serve the purpose of processing Dallas Cowboy's fans to their new future home.
In the very back of the Pappadeaux's parking lot, you can see the progress of the new Dallas Cowboy's new stadium that is set to open in 2011. This whole area continues to reinvent itself. First it was Six Flags, then came Wet-n-Wild water park (which is now Harbour Town). Then came the Texas Rangers Baseball stadium. With the Dallas Cowboys located in such a congested area already, I can't help but wonder just how long it will take the traffic to process for a game. Despite plans underway with additional roads and loops, this will certainly the challenge for Arlington planners in the near future.
