While attending seminary, I was introduced to the writings of John Piper. He is a prolific writer who combines the elements of spiritual passion and scriptural principles. The Christian life is to be lived not in defeat but in a passionate desire to find happiness in God. I loved Desiring God. This book really opened my eyes to seeing the Christian life in a different way. It's one of those books that really makes you think. It's been a while since I read it but it's on my re-read list for 2007.
